LucasArts Strikes "Gold" By Signing Off On Four Games In One Week

COMPANY'S WEEK HIGHLIGHTED BY SIMULTANEOUS RELEASE TO MANUFACTURING OF MULTIPLE TITLES ACROSS VARIETY OF PLATFORMS

Gold fever has hit LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC with the release to manufacturing of four titles across three platforms in the same week. The titles include Star Wars Demolition® for PlayStation; Escape from Monkey Island® for PC; Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine® and Star Wars™: Episode I Battle for Naboo® for Nintendo 64. Each game is expected to be available in the November/December 2000 timeframe.

"The company has been in overdrive finishing four titles at the same time and getting them out the door," says Mary Bihr, vice-president, worldwide sales and marketing for LucasArts. "This achievement really speaks to the dedicated team we have at LucasArts."

Star Wars Demolition features vehicular combat in that galaxy far, far away. Developed by Luxoflux, the creators of Vigilante 8, Demolition will release for PlayStation in November, and will be followed soon after with the release of a version for Sega Dreamcast.

Escape from Monkey Island, the fourth piratey adventure in the critically-acclaimed Monkey Island graphic adventure series, sails into stores in November.

Battle for Naboo challenges players to fight the evil trade federation on ground, air and sea. Co-developed with Factor 5, Battle for Naboo for Nintendo 64 is expected to be available in December.

Grab a whip, and your fedora as the ultimate adventure comes to the Nintendo 64 in mid-December with the classic action adventure, Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine.

Indiana Jones will be available for rental at Blockbuster Video, or for purchase through lucasarts.com and blockbuster.com.
